Victim Compensation

Ohio's Victim of Crime fund does not cover every expense associated with being a victim.  For example, it does not cover compensation for pain and suffering.  Filing a claim for Victim of Crime compensation does not prevent you from filing a civil lawsuit against the liable party or parties that caused your injuries.

Contact the Crime Victim Lawyers at Stiefvater Law, LLC to discuss your potential claims and determine the amount of compensation to which you are entitled.

The available types of compensation from the Victims of Crime fund:

Medical expenses;

Counseling for victims and immediate family members;

Lost wages;

Crime scene cleanup;

The cost of damaged clothing;

Payment for mobility equipment, hearing aids, glasses, teeth, canes, etc.;

Travel expenses for court proceedings;

Financial support for dependents of deceased victim; and

Burial and funeral expenses.

Please review the eligibility requirements that must be met in order to receive compensation from Ohio's Victim of Crime Fund.  Do not hesitate to contact the Victim of Crime Lawyers at Stiefvater Law, LLC with any questions.  Our Victims of Crime attorneys fight to ensure your eligibility for compensation.  Call today and start moving forward.
